With over three decades of distinguished experience in aerospace and aircraft manufacturing, Mr. Jean-Nicolas Ruby stands as a leading authority in the field. As the Vice President and a partner at Flight Data Technologies Inc. (FDT), Mr. Ruby brings a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record of excellence in both engineering and executive roles.

Mr. Ruby began his illustrious career at Dassault Aircraft in France, where he honed his skills as software application developer before advancing to CAD/CAM technical support. His journey through the aerospace sector saw him excel in various roles, including Vice President of Technical Support and Technical Marketing & Strategy at ICAM. His deep expertise in aircraft manufacturing technologies laid a strong foundation for his future endeavors.

In 2019, Mr. Ruby joined FDT as Vice President, where he has been pivotal in transforming the company's product offerings. His leadership has been crucial in the development and restructuring of key products, such as the Quick Access Recorder (QAR) and the Flight Data Analysis (FDM/FOQA) systems. As a shareholder and Executive Vice President of FDT in Montreal, Mr. Ruby directs the development of cutting-edge hardware, firmware, and software, steering the R&D team to deliver comprehensive flight safety solutions.

Mr. Ruby's visionary approach was instrumental in the launch of FDT’s uQAR and XpressA FDA/FDM combined solutions. Currently, he serves as the formal product manager for the XpressA FDA/FDM/FOQA solution, leading the charge in introducing innovative products that elevate the use of flight data within the airline industry. His contributions have been significant in advancing technologies such as XpressA, Flight Data Analysis, Pilot-My-Flights, 3D Flight Inspector, XpressA Engine Analysis, and various Maintenance Trend Monitoring systems.

Mr. Ruby holds a Master’s in Automation, along with degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Marketing, all from the University Paris XIII in France. His extensive expertise and leadership continue to drive advancements in flight safety and data utilization, making him a highly respected figure in the aerospace community.
